  • Experienced in working with children
  • Arrival on the day before the first day of camp ( Saturday 3pm - 7pm)

Salary, accommodation, food

  • Well paid job
  • Accommodation is for free in the basic hotel rooms
  • Food is also for free (includes 5 meals/day)

Arrival

  • 1-2 weeks before the camp start we send you email with the transport connection (bus or train from Prague or anywhere you will be coming from). One of our Czech camp leaders will wait for you at the bus or train station.
  • Our company does not pay your travel costs.
  • The teachers and camp leaders are supposed to arrive in the afternoon on the day before the first day of camp. That means on Saturday in the afternoon (3 – 7pm). The kids arrive on Sunday morning and leave on Saturday afternoon.
  • If you stay for more than one week, you can stay there and have a rest until the new teachers and camp leaders arrive on Saturday evening.

Lessons

  • For basic information you can find daily routine here. It is just general schedule, the final schedule depends on the agreement between teachers and camp leaders
  • It is neccesery to keep start and finish of all lessons.
  • On Sunday morning the kids are divided into the groups by their age and English skills (according to their test results).
  • Basically, the groups may look like this:
    • Lower level - elementary A1/A2, kids around 9 - 12 years
    • Middle level - low intermediate A2/B1, kids around 13 - 15 years
    • Higher level - upper intermediate B1/B2, kids 15 - 18 years
    • The number of the groups depends on the number of the kids. We always try to make the groups with 8 - 12 kids. For example if we have 50 kids, we have 5 teachers and 5 groups.
  • You and other teachers choose one of the groups which you will have for the whole week.
  • Every evening one of the teachers speaks about his/her native country/city. So you are supossed to prepair 10 – 20 minutes presentation.
  • You are supposed to bring all materials for your teaching.
  • The course is focused on building conversation skills, active perception of the language and spontaneous use of the language (which is often lacking).
  • The printer is available for you at the camp, but it is always better to print some materials in advance for the first two days.
  • There is also the blackboard, CD/DVD player, TV available to use (may vary depending on the place)

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

Looking forward to hearing from you!

With kindest regards
